But legends come with limitations—especially when it comes to optics.

One of our engineers, frustrated by the lack of reliable, modular mounting solutions for an MP5 running the Knight’s Armament Handguard System, asked the question no one else seemed to be asking:
Why can’t we modernize the optic game—without compromising the classic platform?

That question sparked the design of the MP5 Modular Optic Mount (MMOM)—a precision-machined, third-party mounting solution that brings modern modularity to one of the most respected platforms on the planet.

Built from 7075-T6 billet aluminum and finished in Type III hardcoat anodizing, the MMOM is designed specifically to integrate with the KAC MP5 handguard system (no affiliation with Knight’s—just compatibility). It uses HK VP9-style optics plates, letting shooters run modern optics like the Aimpoint ACRO, Trijicon SRO, and RMR HD, with co-witness capability through the MP5’s iconic OEM diopter sights.

For those who prefer traditional mounts, we also offer a Picatinny rail section add-on—because modularity means options, not restrictions.
